The Bunny The Bear:
Origin Buffalo, New York
Post-hardcore synthpop metalcore experimental rock electronicore

The Bunny the Bear are an American post-hardcore band from Buffalo, New York. Musically, the band is known for its eclectic style of post-hardcore, taking influence from a variety of rock and electronic subgenres, including synthpop, metalcore, experimental rock, alternative rock, and electronica.

The band was formed in 2008 by Matthew Tybor, also referred to as "The Bunny" hence the rabbit mask and persona he incorporates in the group. Tybor was immediately joined by Chris Hutka, known as "The Bear" who likewise, wears a bear mask. In an interview, when asked about the meaning behind the band name and the masks, Tybor stated that "I'm a little weird and a little off, but it was nothing in-depth or a serious meaning behind it. It was more of a random, incoherent thought and I ran with it".[6] The Bunny (Tybor) employs screamed vocals for the band while The Bear provides clean vocals. The band's first five albums featured Chris Hutka as The Bear, while their sixth album A Liar Wrote This features Hutka's then-replacement, Haley Roback. Tybor, being the only consistent member, writes all of the music and lyrics.

Throughout the band's formative years and first three albums, they failed to maintain a consistent lineup, cycling through sixteen different instrumentalists up to the release of The Stomach For It. For the recording of their fourth album Stories, they worked with studio musicians Doug White, a guitarist and the owner of Watchmen Recording Studios and Matt McGinley, the current drummer of Gym Class Heroes. The duo would work with Tybor for the band's following two albums Food Chain and A Liar Wrote This. The band's membership was reduced to its two vocalists, and they began touring with a regularly-changing touring band.

With simple intent to write for the sake of writing: The affected moving the effected.

Roots Like Mountains was created as a means to escape from the weight of our past and to express the deep passion for music that burns in each of us. We all come from different backgrounds, and we've walked different paths. Through it all, we found that music has a power to affect the hearts and minds of people in a way that defies reason or belief.

Through our music, we seek to connect with people in a way that skips the mind and goes straight to the heart. We want to share our joy, our anger, our pain, to remind people that they are not alone. We are surrounded by people who think and feel the same as we do, and in that, we are all together. We are family.

We strive to build a community of people from all different homes, backgrounds, lifestyles, communities, and countries, and bring them together to share our love of music. To share our love, joy, anger, sadness, and passion. To share all the weight of this life, and to keep on fighting together.

Roots Like Mountains - Origin of the name

Science: Mountains are created when two continental plates collide, one rising upwards while the other is forced deep under the surface. The plate forced under is usually made up of a lighter material, but is no less massive than the protrusion that makes up the mountain on the surface. In fact, the roots of mountains can extend into the crust 10-15 times the height of the mountain. These roots make up a massive part of the overall rock formation, and their weight puts pressure on the plates, holding them together. Mountains maintain equilibrium with the mantle, known as isostasy. As mountains are worn away by weather, they rise, and as they are weighed down by glaciers or other naturally occurring events, they sink downward, but they are always in balance with the mantle below.

Faith: Rather than root ourselves in earthly things, we build our foundation in Christ. Through him, we are given Roots Like Mountains, roots that extend deep below the surface of outward appearances. Roots that give us strength when we have none, that give us hope when life seems pointless, that give us light when the darkness closes in. We stand tall in Him, and when life tries to tear us down, He will raise us up out of the storms to new heights. We are strong. We are powerful. We are unbreakable. We are unstoppable. We will not be shaken. We will not be moved.

Hardcore band from Arizona.

A collective of musicians using aggressive music as an outlet to maintain a steady relationship toward friends, family, and to whom ever it may concern.

Since the beginning in May 2014 we have shared the stage from Kansas and Missouri to Nebraska and have had the honor of performing with such national names as Avatar Gemini Syndrome and OTHERWISE. We are in pre-production for our first EP, to be released by summer 2016. We have a wide variety of influences from Periphery, Thrice, Escape The Fate and Nirvana to acts such as Nothing More and Bring Me The Horizon. Through these influences we have created a unique blend of sound: guitars that give your heart a reason to pump, a bass line that makes you turn it up to 11, vocals that still believe in melody (with a touch of metal), held together by a driving drum line that is a force of nature. This is the fusion of rock and metal that our fans have been waiting for. Join them at one of our high-intensity live performances and see for yourself!
